Richard Dekker asks about forced air induction on high mileage cars. Kansei may be the highest mileage turbo Miata around, at just over 100,000 miles now. (Can anyone top that? Let us know.) However, the turbo (Bell fixed vane unit with intercooler) has only been on the car for about 5,000 miles. The engine appears to be tight, with no appreciable oil usage between changes each 3,000 miles. Up to you, but I'd think that if the engine is in good shape, it should hold up well with boost, no matter what the mileage. The no-turbos-over-75,000-miles seems to be a CYA (Cover Your Posterior) thing from the turbo people. --Jack M. & KANSEI--
