They are often gathered in great herds in open fields, however these herds tend to be stationary. If they are not in the fields, they migrate to mark a common spot in something central to their territory called the shop. Often the excrement from many British cars frequenting the shop creates a rather big spot.

BTW, in this instance "mark" should be spelled "Marque". :-)
