Hi Folks- I really hate to bother the list with this, but I know there are a lot of really knowledgeable folks out here... OK, I have a Mac LC (bought it in '90). Until recently I was running system 6.0.7. In order to run NetScape (and some other apps) to help me make web pages at home I had to upgrade to System 7 (7.1, actually). Now that I've got the new system I can update my Miata noises page from the comfort of my own home. THe only problem now is that I can no longer use my favorite shareware for my modem. I was using Red Ryder 9.4 (which, in itself was old). I'm now using a version of Kermit. The problem with Kermit is that I can't use my mouse to copy, highlight, etc. Does anyone know of any freeware or shareware that I can use to help make my life easier? Another plus would be the ability to write scripts or macros to do the dialing and logins... Some basic info about my communications ability: modem is "high speed" (that's what is was in '90!) - 2400 baud rate, non-Slip/PPP connection, what else do I need to know??? If there are places to FTP the software, please let me know that too! -alex- ObMiata- With my new system software my desktop pattern software will let me put _really_ big Miata pictures on the desktop and as I mentioned above I can more easily improve my Miata web pages from home... and for Mike - I haven't driven with the top up in a loooooooooooooong while, even left the car parked outside with the top down one night this week! -amp-
