I tried a bottle of Rain-X.  I didn't like it, since it lasted only
a few weeks.

I've always waxed my windows with whatever wax I used on the paint.
IMPORTANT: if you try it, USE JUST A VERY LITTLE BIT.  I put too much
on one time, and all it did was smear and turn white the first time
I got stuck in a rainstorm.  Used sparingly, though, it protects the
window, beads the water, and lasts a long time.

While on the subject of wax :-), I use AstroShield.  It's been about
four months now, and it still looks like I just put it on.  Applied
as per the instructions, two coats 24 hours apart, it does last a long time.
(Horrors!  He owns a Miata and doesn't use Meguiar's!  What's the world
coming to?  :-)
