Well, folks, I'll be unsubscribing for a couple of weeks for my annual, 2 week, 5000-6000+ mile, cross country vacation. Having taken a Toyota Tercell and a Mazda 323 previously, taking the Miata should be a dream. Believe it or not, all the luggage (including a tent and two sleeping bags) are going into the trunk, with a few strategic items going under the top cover (thank God for laundremats). My lady and I will be going out to Yellowstone and the Black Hills of South Dakota, following Interstate 90 most of the way from here (Western Mass) to there (hint, hint: Any Miata folks out there on I-90 that wouldn't mind 2 complete strangers sponging off them?) There will be at least 2 non-stop 24+ hour driving days (we are going nonstop from here to Sioux Falls, SD the first day), so I will get to see how the Miata deals with 1200 miles at a clip (top-down - I'll look like I was shot out of a cannon). Anyway, I will give a report as soon as I return (and probably write a novella for the Miata homepage). Thanks for all the good info and tips, and I wave to ya when I see ya! WYOMING OR BUST! Tom and (surely to be named soon) '90 Mariner Blue 'A'
