greetings all -

this weekend seems to mark a passage from the heat of summer to cooler,
more colorful times of fall (especially here in beautiful northern
michigan). in anticipation of the coming changes, i pose the questions:

are there any specific (or general) procedures that are recommended for
winter storage of my little beauty?

it will reside in our barn, covered and out of harms way. but other than
waxing and cleaning, what else?

battery care?
fuel system?
tires?
etc?

normally inclimate weather waits until late october, but it has been known
to come earlier, and i'd like to be prepared. also, if anyone wants a
beautiful ride, the fall colors in this part of the world are incredible.
winding roads, beautiful vistas of lakes and open space make for a great
outing anytime, but fall holds a special flavor.
