Apparently-To: RVFT60@email.sps.mot.com I promised the list a report on the installation of my Jackson cold-air induction system, and here it is:GREETINGS! I enjoyed reading your story about the JR cold air induction box installation. I've had mine installed now for about 6K miles, and I can tell you that it does indeed improve the performance (I also have the Jackson header and the Jackson catback exhaust installed). One thing about the air box .. I recommend checking it about once a week for the proper torque on the screws and the bolts. They have a tendency to loosen up with vibration. Also, FYI, I removed the top of the box this last weekend so that I could clean and re-oil the filter. I was surprised to see how many little cracks there were in the box .. even had a small chunk of the box bottom which had apparently sheared off somehow .. the box top was screwed to a little bottom piece which was no longer connected to the rest of the bottom piece! I've noticed that the gauge of the plastic that Jackson uses to fabricate the box is substantially more lightweight than that which is used to mold the stock air intake unit. I wonder if JR is planning to beef up this unit in the future? Anyway, enjoy! These little problems, thus far anyway, are well worth the performance gains I've realized. Hope your experience is also a positive one. Regards, Mike Scott '93 Black C Phoenix, AZ
