There seems to be a need for everyone to find ways to pack every last little nook & cranny in the Miata for a trip of more than a few days. I guess Anne and I will find out more about this when we take Kansei to Canada for a couple weeks in late Sept/early Oct, but I can't imagine even needing all the trunk space for a couple week trip. About everywhere I've ever been with a car, they have laundromats now. Haven't taken a trip of more than a few days in Kansei, but way back a long time ago, I took a two month, 15,000 mile trip all over the USA, and even took along a big reel-to-reel audio tape deck I was delivering for a friend along the way. This was in a VW Karmann Ghia, and I didn't have anything in the (miniscule) back seat. Try this exercise: Pack everything you need for an entire month, except firewood and water, in a pack to carry on your back. It makes packing the trunk of a Miata seem much easier. --Jack M. & KANSEI--
