Start by writing a letter to MCA and asking for a chapter application. Then get a couple other people who are interested in helping form the club. Count on doing a LOT of the legwork yourself, unless you have some really devoted members (our chapter is blessed with this...) MCA will send you a zip-code map of your region showing you any other chapters in your location. You get to form a chapter for a range of zipcode prefixes. It's pretty straighforward. Next, fill out the application, pick a name for your chapter and mail the app back to MCA. In a couple of weeks you have the chapter! We are pretty aggressive with our meetings. We want to build up a large and active chapter quickly. We have at least one fun-run a month, and one "business/social" meeting a month. Fun-runs are day-long tours around the area, always involving some sort of meal (usually lunch) and always ALWAYS stopping at a Dairy Queen along the route. Business meetings are held at a local restaurant. We also have a monthly newsletter. It's a lot of work to put together, but a LOT of fun. We formed our chapter in March, and have over 40 members at this point. At any given event we have 10-15 cars show up. Greg Bassett Pres.
