Tsutomu "Tom" Matano apeared in a section of the latest Sports Car
Internationa Magazine. 
He was asked: Where are sports cars headed in the future?

He responded: "As we hoped when we introduced the Miata, other manufactures
have followed suit and now I think this special category of automotive fun
can be kept for the next generation.  I do hope for better driving
environment, though--maybe there will be more toll roads designed for the
sheer pleasure of driving sports cars, or better yet a whole village designed
around twisty circuits.  I'd call it "Miataville," Maybe?"

Cool...Miata events every Saturday, Miata only parking signs every where you
look and the M Speedster could pull over owners who have their tops up and
give them a ticket.
