Has anyone ever put the starter button in his/her Miata? I read about it in a magazine and it seems very interesting. With the setup consists of toggle switch and the circuit wired in the ignition you can either turn the key to the normal position and press the button to start up engine or use the key as usual. I'm wondering whether it'll be wired into the alarm as it might be the weak piont in the engine immobilization. My ultimate setup would be a steel panel that covers the 1.5 DIN size space below the head unit with starter button, analog clock, engine immobilizer key slot, oil temp metre, and volt metre.
