My '95M also came from the dealer with that stuff on it.

I just hit it with 00 hitech, twice, and the sort of oily
dealer *wax* went away.

Followed up with many coats of 26 yellow.

I didn't use something like 10 polish, that might be an idea.

There is no need for a number 2 abrasion.
