It looks like a roll bar, but doesn't provide the rollover protection. Typically, style bars are not triangulated, that is, don't have longitudinal sections to form a triangle or rectangle. Some schools allow them, some don't. A roll bar is unnecessary if you don't roll your car. :-) But, you do anything high-speed at your own risk. Remember that going out even alone in a solo trial is a risk. You don't need another car to get you over. Going off the track into dirt is enough to send a car over, if the dirt catches the car just right. Use discretion when enrolling in a high-speed event. Keep it shiny side up.
