I too just got the new '96 brochure, or should I say, the '95 brochure with a
new cover. There is only one new picture in the brochure and it is a '95
black R package...note the rear view mirror still atached to the windshield
header.  None of the Miatas pictured are a '96, in fact they are pictures of
'94s...note the folding-type, two piece  visors.  The picture of the dash is
also a '94...yes they airbrushed the chrome trim rings around the gauges, but
they still have the old (pre '95) oil pressure gague that has numbers 0 - 90,
which was changed to L - H (low - high ?) in '95.  The red airbrushed Miata
(thats not a picture - look at the headlight doors) is also a '95 with it's
rear view mirror atached to the windshield header.

Only 4 colors available for '96:
  Classic Red
  Brilliant Black
  White
  Montego Blue Mica (except R package)

As for the new M eddition it is expected to be a new "blue"

Other rumors I heard of for the '96:

-The hazard light button will be transparent and will flash when pushed in.
-The red lettering on the rear Miata badge will again change color.

Over all I was disapointed in the '96 brochure. I know it is more exspensive
to take new pictures of the Miata versus just airbrushing old photos, but I
hoped they wouldn't take another short cut this year when it came to my
favorite car.
