In Southern NM where my Miata and family live, there is no local club.
The closest is Santa Fe, NM-a good 5-6 hour drive.

I am interested in beginning a club in my area, but as I don't belong to one I have several questions:

1.  Where to start?  This one goes out to anyone who was in my shoes previously.
2.  What types of activities do the clubs plan, and how often do they occur/meet?

3.  Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Please help-I want my baby to meet some new friends.

We already wave at each other on the roads-as far as I can tell, there are about 5 other Miatas in my city.
El Paso, TX is very close, and there are plenty over there that might join up.
How do I reach all these owners?
