With great disappointment, I must report that my little Miata, with less than 4000 miles, 
already has it's first ding from some rude, nasty, blankety blank, ignoraimus (sp?) .  
Anyway, I'm toying with the idea of doing something like sewing a casing into each side 
of my car cover that i could slide a hunk of rubber in to help prevent the dings.  Kind of 
like one of those rubber strips they put on a lot of cars.  The cover is a cheapo 
Kragen version, so it's a bit big, and it would be very easy to put the casing in.  
Don't know if I could get some kind of rubber strips that I could roll up and keep in 
the trunk.  

Where I work, the parking is full up to the gills, so parking in a remote are of lot isn't 
possible, there are not any remote areas, period.  Anyone got any other bright ideas 
about how to minimize/prevent dings?
