I took the Mazda wheels because I like the look and they were very easy to be street legal in Germany. I have not noticed any real disadvantages from the smaller offset, but I think one could only judge from test drives with different wheels (offests) on the same track. If there were real disadvantages, maybe Mazda Germany wouldn't offer them?? BTW, there is one disadvantage: 3-5mph lower top speed. Optical advantage: due to the smaller offset, the fenders are really "filled" with these wheels. Werner
