Hey everybody just a question and some comments. First, I got a ticket this morning for "avoiding an intersection." Actually, what myself and 20 zillion others have done for the last year since construction has started is to turn into a shopping center, go behind it where the road is paved and wide enough for 3 semi-trucks, and proceed to the exit onto the street where we actually want to be. This morning I got pulled over. Although the quote above is what the officer said to me, the ticket says "cutting across a drive." Is this a law? Can I really be fined for this? If so, the city thinks it is worth $82. Also, I've had my SILVER miata for 5 years now. Three of those were in Phoenix and 2 have been in Austin,Tx, and my car paint still looks brand new. I still get comments from people about my car. The dent-less repair place the fixed a dent in my hood from a tree branch also commented on how good the paint looked. I did have a POLY-GLYCOAT sealer put on it in Phoenix and I tried to keep it covered (approx 80 % time) but other than that, just routine cleaning. I have noticed that if it is dirty, it can look pretty dull, and maybe that is what some of you are seeing. Just a thought. Calvin Harrison '91 A Silver Bullet
