If you run your hand along the surface, it feels like sandpaper. It should feel smooth, like glass. My mom keeps buying silver cars here in Houston, and they look OK when she gets them, but she's not the most anal of surface care professionals. She drives them through gas station car washes, etc... which is probably very indicative of John Q. Public. I would be inclined to think that your Poly-Glycoat sealer is the biggest step toward protection of a highly reflective paint color like silver. kjw & TIC-TAC
