Can it be true - hardly any other Laser sailors in this group -??? Hard to believe - the Laser has so many of the wonderful attributes of the Miata - small, sleek, fast, aerodynamic, incredibly exciting to drive... There's nothing more exhilarating than trying to keep it all under control when you're on a screaming reach in a 15-knot breeze - surfing too fast down that wave can lead to instant disaster as you plough into the next wave... I think I'm still pretty far from reaching that level of excitement in my Miata, which is probably just as well :-) But the addition of a Miata to my fleet this summer has presented me with somewhat of a dilemma; I'm now a lot more selective about which regattas I head off to, I can no longer devote _every_ weekend to sailing, I have to allow for some pure driving time. [An aside: how much weight can one tow with a Miata?? The Laser weighs 130 lb, so with a lightweight trailer.... No, that's too crazy.] Plus - now I face a double-whammy come mid-November when I have to put away both boats PLUS the Miata. Little wonder life seems so bleak - at least until the snow flies and the skis come out. Now how many of you all are skiers -?? Sally Sharp Hanover NH White '90A (with new Robbins top definitely UP) Gray/white Laser 134027 (definitely not Silver) Blue/white Laser 155218 (almost Mariner blue!)
