   One more scary incident along the lines of Lyn's: My wife and I
and our 18 month old were in Cleveland during the same weekend as the
national Rock 'n Roll Miata event.  (Unfortunately we weren't
attending the event; my wife's sister was undergoing a bone marrow
transplant at the the Cleveland Clinic.)  Anyway, my wife took the
baby in our '90 red Miata to a mall to do some shopping.  When she
returned to the car after shopping, she saw a bunch of teenage boys
standing around the car, and heard the following conversation
(roughly):

	Teen 1:	"Rich people: let's beat the shit out of them."

	Teen 2: (Pointing to the baby seat in the Miata) "Nah, they've got
		a baby.  Let's leave 'em alone."

    Luckily, the teenagers walked away from the car, and my wife was
not terrified by the incident, but it certainly gave us second
thoughts about Cleveland.

P.S.	In case anyone is wondering how we got two adults and a baby into
	a Miata, we didn't.  My wife drove to Cleveland in our "practical" car
	(a '90 GTI) and I drove the Miata up to join them for the weekend.
