This is not the first time it has been discussed on the list, but you think everyone is exaggerating until it happens to you. I spun out turning left from a thoroughfare onto a side street in rainy weather and hit a parked car. My wife said I was driving too fast, but I didn't think I was pushing it; I think I should have been able to hold the road at at least 50% higher speed. I have original Bridgestone tires with 7,000 miles wear. There was no lasting damage to the Miata (the plastic bumpers clean up well) and I hope only minor damage to the parked car (I haven't gotten the insurance report yet). I am tempted to throw away the Bridgestones and get some decent tires. I try not to drive the Miata much in the New England winter, but nevertheless it would seem to make sense to get all-weather times. Any suggestions? Dunlop D60 A2s, Yokohama U+4s or A+4s, or something else? Gary Feldman
