I've mentioned in the past how my soft top zipper hasn't been working very well. The reason is that the metal pull has worn and no longer meshes the teeth very well. The teeth themselves are in fine shape. Well, the other night it jammed again, and at around 35 degrees F, I wasn't in the mood for another long session trying to rethread the zipper. Since I had ordered a replacement zipper a while back, I removed the pull from the new zipper and carried it out to the car. Voila! Just inserted the two sides of the zipper into it, and zipper up the top! Amazing how well an un-worn zipper works! So: if your zipper is fighting back and the teeth themselves are ok, fear not! Just find another zipper pull that fits and install it yourself in 10 seconds (no need to spend the dough for the complete Official Mazda Replacement Zipper(tm) unless you need the whole thing). -- Ken Buck /| Internet: kbuck@peritus.com \'o.O' ACK!
