Finally a reason for me to quit lurking again and join in the fun.  My   
wife and I have a J/24 called Dazed and Confused that we campaign on San   
Francisco Bay.  In fact, that boat is what keeps us from having any MSUs   
to spend on our already almost perfect (in our opinion) '94 Laguna Blue   
C.  The boat necessitates an '86 Full-size Bronco that makes us   
appreciate the Miata more every time we drive it.  For all of you who   
think you need to go faster, or handle better, you can borrow the bronco   
for a day, it may well cure you for good.

Anyone who live is the SF Bay area and would like to crew sometime, drop   
me an E-mail.

PS.  I had a '71 Triumph Spitfire in high school (82-85) that I don't   
regret AT ALL, but still makes me exclaim every time I see one driving,   
"Hey, there's a Spitfire, apparently running!"  I literally spent more   
time under that hood than driving the thing.  But, when it did run, the   
"chick magnet" seemed to be much more powerful than the miata's (and at   
1/10!!!! the cost).  Oh, but that could have something to do with my   
wedding ring, my wife in the passenger seat, or my (premature I think!)   
loss of sun protection on the top of my head....
