According to Car And Driver Online, the base MSRP for a new BMW Z3 is
$28,750.  Much like the Miata's introduction in '89, the demand for Z3s is
great (over 2,700 deposits received 4 months before introduction), and the
first year's production will certainly be sold for a premium over MSRP.

Expect Z3 photographs to grace the covers of Road & Track, Car And Driver,
Automobile, and Motor Trend any month now.  And when you are reading all of
the glowing accolades about the Z3, just remember the Road & Track Issue from
90(?) that proclaimed MOVE OVER MIATA!.  R&T thought the Mercury Capri was
pretty hot, too.  (I guess Ford had just purchased a ton of advertising space
in their mag).
