It *does* >interesting snapshots of the new "beemer" roadster you might want to check: >Subject: Re: more Beemer hoohaa I'm confused. I'm reading all this talk about the new Z3 "Beemer" with 138 hp, cupholders, and electric seat adjustments. All I can say is WOW! This is one amazing motorcycle! --------------- Actually, folks, as a former BMW owner (a 76 530i w/220K!), I'm just writing to correct a common mistake: a "Beemer" is a BMW motorcycle a "Bimmer" is a BMW car This is akin to people who call San Francisco "Frisco" instead of "the City". You can always tell who _doesn't_ live there. :-) ------------- I have perused the spec sheets and such very carefully, and though it doesn't ever say so specifically, I would suspect that the Z3 is a "car", and therefore, a "Bimmer". :-) BTW, since the Miata was the only car which could get me to give up the old Bimmer, I admit to _serious_ Z3 lust. (Truth be told, I've had that lust since the Z1, which was even more unobtainable) :-) rich ======================================================================== Richard Fozzard "Serendipity empowers" Univ of Colorado/CIRES/NOAA E/GC1 325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80303 fozzard@ngdc.noaa.gov (303)497-6764 or 444-3168 Web:
