Miatas) without front plates. Is t his law >actually enforced here? Is it a fix-it ticket? > > Yes it is a fix-it ticket. I got one a couple of years ago in conjuction with a speeding ticket. The cop didn't even tell me he was writing me up for it. I found out when I signed the ticket. To get it corrected, I put on the old plate and had a friend of a my wife who happens to be a sheriff's deputy sign it off. They might have charged me an additional $10.00, but the again it might have been nothing. Of course the deputy didn't even ask if I had put it back on. So I immediately took it off. I have been driving in CA for about 3 years with out it. Rick B. STKR - Slower Traffic Keep Right -- Richard D.
