I had this problem, the solution was easy.  Unfasten the latch holding 
down the softtop (to the pillar).  In there you will see a plastic cover 
over a elongated nut.  Swivel down th ecover and expose the nut.  Rotate 
the nut.  One direction is loosen the other tighten.  You want to tighten 
the top.  I made mine so tight that I really need to push to close the 
top.  But not a drop of water gets in.
