Just a question to you super polishers, cleaners, waxers and buffers....

I'm planning to give Little Red Rooster a good waxing tomorrow (winter
prep.) and have already cleaned him and removed all old wax.
As I have a slight orange peel effect on the hood and I would like this coat
of wax to realy have effect I was wondering if I could use one of those
sheepskin thingies mounted on a powerdrill to really work the wax in.
I have done this on other cars and the shine is very deep and longlasting.
As the Miata's paintwork is quite fragile (the car has been resprayed a year
ago) I would like some advice on this. Is it safe for me to use a powertool
+ special cloth  to wax ? What is the maximum speed I can use ?
Any advice would be really apreciated.
