In Singapore miatas from 92 onwards have the
pull-the-stalk-and-it'll-pop-up-by-itself-and-flash feature that Bret talked
about.

Since mine is a '91 the dealers here fitted a "short connector" somewhere in
the electrical system. Part number is NA12-67-741 and it costs just $6.00 here.
