In a message dated 95-12-01 13:50:27 EST, you write: >He felt the Tokico valving was too harsh for street use, even on the softest >setting. This comparison may have been made on the list before, but has >anybody experienced both flavors of Miatae: KONI and Tokico. I have heard >from several _very_ satisfied Tokico owners but not anybody with experience >with both. > IMHO, but I hated the Konis when I had them in my '90 turbo. I had them with stock springs, set on full soft (the shocks, don't get picky) and they were much stiffer than the Tokico Illuminas I now have with shorter stiffer springs. Also tried the Grex suspension--nice, but hugely overpriced for a set of springs and shocks. One disclaimer: I don't know if Koni has made any changes in the last few years. I tried them probably around 91 or 92. FWIW Bill Cardell Dealer Alternative 1-800-FLY-MX5S
