Actually, the glass helps in the cutoff, too. When I travel to Great 
Britain, wher they drive on the left side of the road,I have to use 
tape on the glass in order to abolish the 
nice, triangular light on the right side. It is easy, because the 
glass is like a lense, and you can identify the part that is 
responsible for the triangular light shape.
The Brits have to do the same (other side) when they leave their 
islands.
