G'day! Just changed the timing to 18 BDTC while I was at the dealer service centre for Momo chan's 46000 km check up. The improvement is quite noticeable straight after. Before there was slight hesitation on launching unless the rev is below 3000rpm but now it feels there's a lot more torque around 2000rpm - enough to launch without hesitation - and pulls the car to the red zone without a problem. Oh, I done piping to the Momo chan including header, exhaust system, bigger capacity free flow catalytic converter with forced cold air induction system with K&N air filter. One thing I noticed after service is the clutch seems a lot heavier than before and it now squeaks when pressed. Does anyone have similar problem? The service manager suggested changing a spring inside if this sound persists. I think now,l to increase the power output from my B6 engine I need to give it a bigger capacity or/and more aggressive cam with longer stroke crankshaft. Or maybe I just bolt-on that weber slots I saw in Japan and screw that emission control. :p Dennis (^_^; '89 RX-7 - Red, Too many tickets to keep it. /\_/\ '92 MX-5 - Red, Too much fun to worry 'bout tickets.
