I, too, quickly installed some Hella H4's on my (then) new Miata. They were old friends having been on my previous two cars. I wouldn't drive without them. Having said that, I hated the pop-up look of the 7" round jobs. When Brainstorm came out with their low profile kit I jumped immediately. Finally took delivery on them and with minor difficulties installed them along with the Quad round lites which came with the kit. The lighting was too marginal for my spoiled tastes. They were about as good as the stockers but the high beams could not be adjusted properly for my taste. I had always entertained the idea of lowering the open height of the lights and filling the space with some 4 x 6 inch hi/lo rectangular lights so common on 80's GM cars. I finally did it by modifying the Brainstorm supplied light buckets to accept some Hella H4 4 x6 inch lights. Wasn't too difficult using the same mounting concepts as Brainstorm used. THEY WORK GREAT. I now have low profile lights with H4 (60x100 watt) efficiency. The real benefit is reduced wind turbulence in the cocpit with the doors open (and lights on). Well worth the effort as far as I'm concerned. Keep lit, Ralph Alder SoCal 90 RedA
