Thinking about buying a miata with a prior salvage title (the seller told me
the car had some minor front end damage done to it).  The asking price seems
high for  such a vehicle - 11,500 for a '93 with 30k miles.

I might be wrong (I have been known to be once in a while) but, I thought the
rule of thumb was that you could only charge 1/2 the market value for a car
with a salvage title.

I did the test drive and had a mechanic look it over and it checked out.
