   I don't think the 28% power difference is accurate for a Miata.  
  Jim McFarland at MechTech has measured the power loss from crank to
rear wheel for Miata at 15 HP.  I have heard of similar measurements from
other tuners. My last dyno session showed 165 HP at the rear wheels.  The
car goes like a bat out of Hell, but I don't think I am over 200 BHP - YET.
