Hi everyone, Included in a tidal wave of mail on the Autorotor were a number of questions regarding confusion about the Aerodyne and Autorotor. For those just getting their feet wet in this subject area here are the basic definitions. The Aerodyne is a variable vane turbo. Its variable vane design allows it to avoid most of the "lag" usually associated with turbos. As a turbo it is driven by exhaust gases. The Autorotor is a supercharger--driven off the crank wheel by a belt like your airconditioning compressor. Brian
