  I have had a NACA duct fitted for a few months now.  We have had some 
fairly good rain storms here in Southern California, and I have not had 
any problems.  I did take the plastic part behind the duct off for increased 
air flow.  Without doing this I suspect there would be very little benefit from 
the duct.  In any case there is still somewhat of a restriction due to the shape 
of the hood.  I therefore think that the overall HP gain is probably fairly 
minimal.  I was going to have my air filter routed to make use of the NACA 
duct, but the Mechtech people didn't think it was worth it.  Instead it is going 
to be placed in the mouth for the summer months.
