Nedim, Don't you mean to say that the HKS exhaust really "blows" instead of "sucks?" Seriously, I can be a true faith witness to the quality and the complete attention to detail that truly is the Jackson Racing Exhaust system. Magnificent. Its a shame you have to mount the damn thing *underneath* the car! Exhaust note is very similar to stock at an idle, but sounds very much like an E-Type Jag (a "new" one) when it revs up. For those with "exhaust pipe envy" the Jackson has a 4" inch diameter tip. I've heard from everyone that ever responded to my queries about the cold air that it does indeed give 10-15 more horses. *This* is what you need to make your car really "suck!" kjw & TIC-TAC ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Exaust And Intake Author: naruz@skidmore.edu (Nedim A Aruz) at INTERNET Date: 1/31/96 7:21 PM I was wondering what people have found as the best exaust for the money. Right now I have a HKS exaust and a Rod Millen header. While I really like the ceramic header from Rod Millen, the HKS exaust really sucks. I got it about 2 yrs ago and ever since the day I put it on I have regreted it. It provided a minimal gain in power,(not that I was expecting much) yet what I really disliked was that it has muted my once beautiful sounding Miata. While I don't want a car that is too loud to drive for a hour straight, I do want somthing that is a bit louder than stock. I' ve heard various things about Borla and I think Jackson Racing????? Also I am considering a cold air box from Jackson Racing and was wondering if it gives the true 10-15 hp.Also does it takes any power away from the lower part or the rev range, being that I have a 1.6 motor I need all the torque that I can get Thanks in advance, Nedim 90 white A naruz@skidmore.edu
