Hi Tom,

The total tax will be 12% -- 5% provincial and 7% federal. One thing you
might want to do is convert some of your US$$ to Cdn.$$ at your local bank
before you come up here. Every commercial enterprise will happily accept
American currency, but you could be short-changed on the exchange rate.
Depends on the store or restaurant.

As to activities, give me an idea of the things you like to do and I'll be
happy to offer suggestions.
