Cold air intake is not a problem at this time of year around here, but apparantly temperatures are expected to shoot above freezing in a couple of months. In preparation, I'm thinking about the Jackson cold air intake - specifically, why can't I make one myself? I've never had much of a look at one, but itsn't it just tubing to extend the air intake to in front of the rad? What will Jackson's $400 item do that I can't do with some tubing of a large diameter? I can do a lot with $200 worth of parts, never mind $400. I keep thinking of all those little horsies trapped in my engine, trying to get out....
