YES, I bought a used Miata and put synthetic in after 87,000 regular oil and all the seals started leaking. If you go back and forth you should only leave it in for 50 -100 miles and change it again. The reason for this I am told is that either oil is fine but when they mix it drestroys your seals. so if you go from one to another change the oil very shortly thereafter.
