It just happended to me about a month ago. Initially I had the nose welded, but that only lasted about a week. The final solution, completed two days ago, was to install a used(23k) 1993 1.6 liter engine purchased from MAZMART in Atlanta. Total cost was $850.00 delivered, plus $36.00 rental on the engine hoist and about 16 hours of my time.... The car has never run that well, and the Sebring unit doesn't miss the original engine at all! The best part is that I have an extra engine I can use for parts! Labor for the engine swap would probably run about the same or less than the crank repair... Hope that helps. Guy Stockwell 90/93 White w/sebring driwash@miata.net
