I wanted to know if any one on the list has put a set of EMPI style wheels
on their Miata?

These wheels are 15 inch eight spokes that look very similar to panasports.
They are a very popular after market wheel for air-cooled VWs.  I had a set
on one of my Bugs, and I really like the look of the wheel.  They are a four
bolt pattern, 15x7 aluminum wheel. I have a friend with stock VW wheels on
his Ghia (that look exactly like the Miata base model wheel) that I could
try to bolt on my Miata, but he will not be back in town for several weeks.  

Anyone know if this is a dead-end pursuit?
