I am a little over 5' 11" and do not have a problem with the memory.  The
bar is tall enough that you can see under it.  From what I have seen it
works better than the style bars in this respect.  The crossmember does
block some of the view but it is off to one side so that it is not really a
problem.

It fits under the soft top just fine but there is no room to fully cover the
bar with foam due to the tight fit.  I put foam on just the front half of
the drivers side just in case.  One other this is that a hard top will not
fit over the bar.
