I'm new to the list, but have read the FAQ and other info on the web.  While 
I couldn't find answers to the following questions, my sense is they probably 
have been asked previously, so if it would be more appropriate, please 
respond to me directly.

I'm considering purchasing a used miata as a daily driver and have three 
questions.

1. Living in NJ with a fair amount of salt on winter roads, I was wondering 
about corrosion resistance.  Has mazda taken any special steps to make the 
miata more resistant to corrosion?  If not, how resistant is it?  What are 
the typical trouble spots if any?

2. I would like to get a hardtop, the dealer has told me $1,500 and another 
$500 for paint.  Is there a source of used/quality after market tops?  Is 
there a lower cost route that I'm missing?

3. I'm assuming being light and with rwd, the miata is not especially good in 
the snow.  On the other hand, I'm also assuming that it is no worse than my 
'85 rwd corolla.  Comments?
