Just when that other thread was beginning to die....

New AutoWeek landed, bringing news of a German-only "M" Z3. Euro M3 mill
transplanted into the Z3 good for sub-6 second 0-62 km's and 155 mph. US
version will have "cleaner" engine. body mods include flared rear wells,
chrome exhausts, 5-spoke alloys. all backed by 6-speed.

Same issue has topless Guldstrand (his 'market research'(?) didn't pick up
that he wouldn't sell $100K GS-90s like hotcakes) and, ironically, coverage
of a popular topless car with hardtop. (viper/GTS)

perhaps neatest story is nina padgett, the vette writer, who's done a good
piece on a community in Taos area built with used radials. dennis weaver
and keith carradine among those who opted for the deluxe homes that cost
closer to $80/sq.ft. than the 'starter' homes at $20.

happy motoring. i'm off to san jose and menlo park for the weekend now that
the snow has melted up near Gorman. (never bought chains for the miata)
