G'day!  Went to the local part department for a part and while I was
waiting I talked with one of the rep.  He told me the price of the oil
filter for MX-5 has gone down.  He said Mazda Australia now source the oil
filter locally - didn't tell me which company produced though.  If Mazda
use the locally made oil filter than what's merit of using the factory oil
filter as suggested by Miata magazine?  Since there're only few oil filter
companies in Australia the chance of getting inferior quality is pretty
slim, not to mention the price.  He did mentioned by buying in bulk I can
get them at wholesale price.
