Coincidentally, I was talking with Mazda when gary's comment came over. At midnight tonight (Eastern Time :) I'll put whatever information I can on the new concept car that the NY auto show event--which includes the Del Val club helping them with a retrospective of the car--is centered around. (There's an "embargo" on that info that the media must honor.) Don't know how soon we'll be able to post images, however. after 9 pm-ish PST look for it at: http://www.cyberspeed.com/mazda.html We're 3000 miles from the New York Auto Show and don't have anyone out there covering it (this year). If there's anyone on the list who would like to report on significant sightings, quotes, people, PRICES, trends at the show, please email me at: jeffyip@cyberspeed.com Wendy's "mom," et al: Mazda says they're looking into the crankshaft situation and a representative of the company told me, "I can say in full confidence" that Mazda wants to stand by the miata owners. We'll have to see what action, if any, backs that up. I specifically asked about the consternation over whether the "good bolt" would be advised with the stock '90 cranks. As soon as the company makes a determination, I'll help get the word out. cheers, jeff yip los angeles
