I use simple green and a tooth brush. Yes, a toothbrush. Simple green seems to really work on that ring around the base of the tan softop that looks like algae or something. Folks with black tops probably don't see it. For the larger part of the top, I just use a sponge with a simple green and water mixed solution. I mix 4 parts water to 1 part SG. kjw & TIC-TAC ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Brush for Soft Top Author: Patrick Wei at INTERNET Date: 4/2/96 12:02 PM I have noticed that my tan soft top is beginning to collect "permanent" dirt that cannot be washed away even with a high-powered water spray & soap. I'm considering using a horse-hair brush, the kind that is used for finishing up a shoe shine, but I don't know if that brush can be used with water. Does anybody have suggestions on what kind of brush to use? -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Patrick Wei (916) 785-1939 ~ ~ General Systems Lab ~ ~ Systems Technology Division ~ ~ 8000 Foothills Blvd. ~ ~ Roseville, CA 95747 ~ ~ Unix to Unix: patw@hprpcd.rose.hp.com ~ ~ Home Page: http://awaxnova.rose.hp.com/~patw ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
